Amazon Music HD streaming to Raspberry Pi streamer?

Amazon Music HD streaming to Raspberry Pi streamer?

There is an open-source media server written in Python named Mopidy. It is primarily used with the Raspberry Pi to play music, or stream audio back into your home via AirPlay but it can also be used with just about any device that has a USB port and provides some kind of output (e.g., landline speakers). I would like to use Raspberry Pi with Google Music service over Hdmi allowing me to access my whole collection of music from across the world.

Thus I need a Raspberry Pi with running Google Music on VNC Web Server and using it as a media server, able to stream songs over a network directly to Google Music player application on PC via LAN / Internet without going through any other low-level hardware devices such as sound card or amp, etc.

Interesting option! But I’d probably need some android tablet/phone to stream Amazon Music HD to the Chromecast Audio puck and then from that to the DAC right? I’m currently all Apple on phones and tablets.

Also I did a quick google search and https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=14070322011 says that “At this time Amazon Music HD is not supported on Chromecast.”?

I can confirm that Amazon HD does work with chromecast audio.

I do know there are ways to stream from Apple products to chromecast. But, I’ve never had reason to try it.

The advantage of
Amazon Music HD -> iPhone -> Chromecast Audio via Chromecast -> Topping E30 via S/PDIF vs
Amazon Music HD -> iPhone -> Raspberry Pi via Airplay -> Topping E30 via USB
would be that Chromecast support higher bitrates right? Will I run into the issue mentioned on the https://www.audiosciencereview.com/…ents-of-chromecast-audio-digital-output.4544/ review regarding “1. The CAST audio functionality of Google Chrome is horrid.” is that something different from what I’d do from my phone to Chromecast Audio?

Depends how the app maker sets it up. I think if well implemented, subsequent investigations found no probs. This was casting from chrome browser.

What is Amazon Music HD streaming and how can I get it?

Amazon Video offers the ability to stream videos and music. So if you own an iPod Video or newer, iPhone 4S/5/6 Plus, iPad (1st generation), iPad 2nd Gen., or third-generation then you can get that feature for free with any Amazon subscription. The movies are then stored on your device’s microSD card (flash storage memory slot). For music streaming it is similar but different; their Prime Music service makes songs from their streaming catalog available for download to your computer through the Amazon MP3Downloader software. Solo customers can access its entire special pricing catalog of music alone, without subscriptions – granted listening on a subscription-based service gives you additional features such as personalized posters and ad-free playback

Amazon Music HD streaming or Listen To All My Tunes With Google Apps I have found many blogs about using Pi with Google’s Play Music site but haven’t found a lot of them about using Google Play Music’s own Site, which allows you to listen to music from anywhere using streaming. Which is not available for normal users yet (only Primary and Premium subscribers). My problem is – if I want my friend via Internet or LAN no matter which computer he uses, connect his device thru a router and play songs for him?
